The second Christmas with the Mayors holiday open house event was held Dec. 5 at the Dickson County Chamber Office in Dickson.

“It’s a great opportunity just to talk to people that you don’t see a lot,” City of Dickson Mayor Don Weiss said. “It’s one time, too, where the mayors get to see each other and we don’t get to see each other a whole lot.”

State Rep. Mary Littleton also said that she was having a good time catching up with other officials.

“I really enjoy this,” Dickson County Mayor Bob Rial said. “To have a chamber event that’s a holiday event like this, you can’t beat it. I love this time of year.”

Weiss was clearly delighted to share stories with other people at the event.

“I just hope everybody in the city and the whole county has a wonderful Christmas,” Weiss said. “It’s a great time of the year for everybody to be with family. I hope everybody gets that opportunity.”

Vanleer Mayor Jason Weaver and Burns Mayor Landon Mathis were unable to attend. Slayden Vice-Mayor Mary Smathers represented Mayor Wayne White.
