Highland Rim Economic Corporation USDA Commodities Distribution will be on Wednesday, March 25 at 8 a.m. inside the Greer Building of the Dickson County Fairgrounds, 1043 Hwy 47 East in Dickson. Participants must qualify with their household income and have a 2020 USDA Commodities Identification card to participate. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance free tax preparation program has begun at First Baptist Church, 2501 Highway 70 East in Dickson. Hours are Mondays 2:30- 8 p.m.; Saturdays 7:30 a.m.-to 3 p.m. Appointments must be made. Individuals or families who earn no more than $66,000 are eligible.


Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration for Dickson Elementary, Oakmont Elementary, Stuart Burns Elementary, Vanleer Elementary and White Bluff Elementary will be March 9-March 13 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for Pre-K and April 27-May 1 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for Kindergarten.

A Grief Support Group for families and friends whose loved ones have died will continue through Saturday, March 14 at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel Room of the Dickson County YMCA, 225 Henslee Dr. A free service is offered by Taylor Funeral Home as a part of the Grief Care Program. The Gideon Carr Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution meets on the fourth Saturday of each month at the Education Building of the First Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of Murrell and Mulberry Streets, at 10:00 a.m. All women above the age of 18 who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution are eligible for membership. The White Bluff Civitan Club meets the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at the Bibb White Bluff Civic Center, 1054 Old Charlotte Rd. in White Bluff.
