Ham Radio Technician Class will be held on three consecutive Saturdays (June 13, 20 and 27) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Emergency Operations Center Training Room at 284 Cowan Rd. in Dickson. Big Springs Dinner and Singing will be held Sunday, June 14. The add-a-dish dinner begins at 12:30 p.m. followed by singing at 2 p.m. All donations go toward the upkeep of the cemetery. For information call (615) 260-3679.
Highland Rim Economic Corporation will have a drive-thru USDA Commodities distribution on Wednesday, June 17 in the back parking area of the Dickson County Fairgrounds, located at 1043 Highway 47 East in Dickson. Food will be loaded into cars from 9 a.m.- noon (or while supplies last). Participating households must be Dickson County residents who meet income eligibility guidelines or receive SNAP benefits. The 2nd Annual Miss & Mister Firecracker All-Crown Pageant will be held Sunday, June 28 at 115 Tennsco Rd. in Dickson. The pageant will be benefiting The Wounded Warrior Project.

The Gideon Carr Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution meets on the fourth Saturday of each month at the Education Building of the First Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of Murrell and Mulberry Streets, at 10:00 a.m. All women above the age of 18 who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution are eligible for membership.
