Michael Adams of the Water Authority of Dickson County has been awarded the 2019 Allan Gill Leadership Award (manager of the year) by the Tennessee Association of Utility Districts.
Adams, who is currently the secretary of the TAUD, began his career with WADC in December of 2006 and was appointed as executive director in November of 2012. He has a degree in civil engineering from Tennessee Tech.
Adams’ employees converted 19,000 manual-read meters to AMRs, installed 100 district/zone meters to control water loss and built a new high service pump room at the Turnbull Water Treatment Plant.
He is a board member of the Dickson Farmers Co-Op and a deacon of Grace Baptist Church.
