The Dickson Parks and Recreation Department continues its summer Music in the Park Series with The Benders on Friday, June 14.
June’s free concert will start at 7 p.m. on the stage in Holland Park.
The Benders is a five-member band based in Middle Tennessee with a variety of musical backgrounds performing classic rock, blues and classic country. The band will be joined by Dickson County singer/songwriter John Stevenson.
Lead singer, guitarist and songwriter Brad Viall has toured in seven countries, including performing with the USO. Viall’s 20-year-old son, Jackson, is the band’s drummer.
Guitarist Alex Hopkins, 19, has received a scholarship to study opera at Austin Peay State University.
The remaining Music in the Park concerts at Holland Park will be July 12 and Aug. 9.
