Hunter Eugene Luna of Charlotte was selected to receive one of seven permits for the TWRA archery-only hunt and Joseph Scott Bumpus of Dickson won one of the six permits for the gun, muzzleloader or archery equipment hunt.
The archery-only hunt will be held Sept. 28-Oct. 4. The gun, muzzleloader, or archery equipment will be held Oct. 12-18.
Phillip Jacobs of Dickson was one of the four raffle winners and will receive a prize package.
There were 15 people who received a permit for the state elk hunts. A total of 8,201 persons registered for the opportunity to participate in this year’s hunts.
The elk tag raffle saw 56,405 tickets sold an increase of 33,921 from last year’s inaugural raffle. The raffle raised more than $677,000.
All hunt permits are valid on the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area and can also be used on private lands (with landowner permission) within the Elk Restoration Zone in Anderson, Campbell, Claiborne, Morgan and Scott counties.
