The City of Dickson is set to approve a 66-townhome development on Gum Branch Road, south of Highway 96 near Burns.
The City Council voted without dissent Dec. 2 to rezone the land from agricultural to high-density residential. Before the vote, there was a public hearing at which nobody spoke.
A second vote by the council Jan. 6 will give final approval.
The Dickson Planning Commission voted in October to recommend approval of the rezoning request submitted by landowners Henry McCutchen and Gary Kihara.
The townhome development will go on a 10-acre slice of a 48-acre parcel.
