A Dickson man was arrested last week and charged with attempted murder and robbery in connection with multiple incidents.
A manhunt for Arerion Vernell Thompson, 31, ended Feb. 4 when he was taken into custody without incident in Hickman County, Dickson officials said in a statement. Dickson police and U.S. marshals made the arrest.
Thompson was wanted in connection with shootings in Dickson and Nashville in 2018 and 2019, respectively, and a Dickson armed robbery last month.
Police had been searching for Thompson since he failed to show up for a court appearance on charges from a February 2018 shooting at a home in the Schrader Heights neighborhood of Dickson.
Also, Metro Police named Thompson as the suspect for shooting his girlfriend in 2019.
Thompson and another man are suspects in an armed robbery at a Dickson home on Jan. 29. The victim, whose name was withheld, said Thompson and the other suspect knocked on the door of his home and forced their way inside armed with a handgun. The pair stole a handgun from the home, the city said.
When Dickson detectives and marshals knocked on the door of a residence in Hickman County on Feb. 4, three residents ran out of the home and said Thompson was armed and inside, according to the city.
Thompson came out of the home voluntarily. A handgun was discovered in a bedroom of the home. The city said the handgun is not the one stolen in the Jan. 29 robbery.
Thompson was taken into custody on warrants for attempted first-degree murder, burglary, theft, being a felon in possession of a firearm and failure to appear in court.
Metro Nashville police has at least 11 charges pending against Thompson from the October shooting and other incidents, the city said.
Thompson was booked into the Dickson County Jail on $775,000 bond. He will be arraigned in Dickson County Circuit Court in March.
