The first Dickson County death related to COVID-19 was reported Monday by the Tennessee Department of Health.
The department’s 2 p.m. daily update listed 499 confirmed or probable coronavirus cases in Dickson County since the onset of the virus, with 179 recoveries over that span.
The update listed 6,552 negative tests.
The state health department doesn’t provide information on specific cases, such as the age range of a particular victim. The Dickson County Health Department is a unit of the state agency and doesn’t provide details.
The Dickson County death was one of 11 reported statewide July 27, bringing the total in Tennessee to 978. The total of cases was 96,489, including more than 57,000 recoveries.
