Neurologist Dr. Enawgaw Mehari has joined Dickson Medical Associates.
Mehari has a distinguished reputation for leadership in healthcare, most notably as founder and president of People to People, Inc. He is also internationally recognized as an expert in neurology, pain management and Neuro-AIDs.
“I went to medical school to work with patients. It is compassion, not commercialism, that defines the care we give to our patients,” he said.
Mehari is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry, a diplomat of Neurology, Inc., and is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties. He also serves as the Advisor to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for Ethiopia.
Nurse practitioner hired
Carol Moore, APRN, FNP, PNP, has been hired for the DMA pediatric team.
Moore is a pediatric nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in primary care. The Dickson County native spent the past 12 years as a pediatric nurse practitioner at the Pediatric Primary Care Clinic in the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital Outpatient Clinics.
She began her medical career working in the pediatric ICU at Vanderbilt as a staff nurse.
