The 2019-2020 White Bluff Elementary School ended the last week of school in December as students received recognition for some achievements.

The Walk raised a record-breaking $28,788. The top homerooms at each grade level earned a popcorn and soda or water party: Ms. Cooper (kindergarten), Ms. Harrington (first grade), Ms. McElvain (second grade), Ms. Coffey (third grade), Mr. Dotson (fourth grade), and Ms. Terry (fifth grade). Mr. Dotson’s class had an ice cream sundae party as well because it was the top homeroom in the school with $2,301.

All students who raised $175 or more had lunch with Principal Andrea Beaubien in the Dickson County School’s lunch bus. The top 20 fundraising students chose prizes from the incentives list. Top fundraiser Cydnei Morgan, a fifth grader in Ms. Terry’s homeroom, chose a $100 gift card and had the opportunity to push a pie into the face of Assistant Principal Glenda Sullivan.

Rounding out the top 20 were: Leah Quirk (fourth grade), Gabby Copeland (third grade), Caleb Hiatt (first grade), Gryphon Yates (first grade), Hannah Grace Balcom (fourth grade), Colby Street (second grade), Kennedi Emberland (fourth grade), Joey Hewitt (first grade), Tate Hooper (second grade), Lily Holland (fourth grade), Greyson Zuller (kindergarten), Zoey Foster (first grade), Mason McNeil (third grade), McKinlee Thomason (fifth grade), Jocelin Rodriguez (fifth grade), McKenna Hooper (fifth grade), Emma Jenkins (fourth grade), Alex Taylor (first grade) and Norah Hooper (first grade).

The 140 students who raised $100 or more could choose either to go to the Roxie Movie Theatre to see the “Frozen II” or to Thunder Alley to go bowling.
