Charles Earl Hughes, age 50 of Antioch, TN, and formerly of Dickson, died accidently on Saturday March 21, 2020 in Nashville, TN. He was born in Dickson County, June 16, 1969 son of Mary Ann Grimes Hughes and the late Charles Gilbert Hughes.
He was baptized at an early age under the pastorate of the late Rev. Louis Horner at Worley Furnace Missionary Baptist Church. Charles received his formal education in the Dickson County School System and later furthered his learning at Nashville Tech. He was retired from Peterbuilt where he worked 16 years and was currently employed at the Nissan Plant in Smyrna, TN.
Charles was a loving husband to his wife Jessie, an awesome son to his mom, Mary Ann and a doting daddy to his son, Justin. He loved deeply for these he cared for. He so enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Always sharing a big smile saying something funny. He has a passion for fishing and fixing automobiles.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie Hinton Hughes; his mom, Mary Ann Grimes Hughes; also to cherish his memories is his son, Justin; his step-children, Shondia and Tarey; uncles, Herman, Lawrence, Billy, Morris and Troy; aunts, Earlene, Elise, Eddy, Patricia, Lynn, Kay, and Cindy; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; and special personal friends, Wesley Grimes, Trenity Polite, Scotty Anderson and J-Mack.
The family of the late Charles Hughes extends their heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers, phone calls, food and every act of kindness shown toward us during our time of bereavement. God bless each and all.
Private funeral services will be Saturday, March 28, from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Pastor Tony Ward will officiate. Place of rest will be in the East Dickson Cemetery. Due to the Covid 19 there will be no public visitation or public funeral.
