Donald E. Griffin, 76, of White Bluff, TN died on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. For those desiring, memorials may by made to the Camp Leatherwood Building Fund, or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at noon at the Taylor Funeral Home with his nephew, Lee Corlew giving the eulogy. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 29, 2019 from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Donald was born April 26, 1943 in Cheatham County, TN. He was a son of the late Percy and Angie Mary Fogus Griffin. He was a Veteran, having served his Country in the U.S. Navy. On December 21, 1963 he married the love of his life, Judy Spann. He served his community as a deacon at the Chapel Hill Church of Christ. He was employed as a machinist with Textron Aerostructures and retired in 2003. Donald was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, scuba diving, riding motorcycles, and hunting mushrooms and arrowheads. He loved to travel, but when he was in town, he enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Hog Heaven Family Restaurant.
Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Spann Griffin; son, Chuck Griffin (Trina); daughter, Alma Ruth Edwards (Michael); his siblings, James P. “JP” Griffin, Jean Corlew, Spencer Griffin, and Stanley Griffin (Elaine); four grandchildren, Davis Griffin, Alex Edwards, Drake Griffin, and Eli Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.
