Ida Evelyn James was born on March 26, 1923 in Bon Aqua, Tennessee and passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 in Dickson, Tennessee. She was 97 years old.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur Clark and Josephine Dudley Clark.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Chester James; sons, Larry Albert Chlilton, and Howard Ray Chilton; grandson Michael Chilton; siblings, James Dexter Clark, Mitchell Clark, Grady Clark, Francis Becker, Bobby Waymon Clark, and Billy Joe Clark; and step-son Jack James.
She is survived by her daughter Doris Henry of Dickson; brother Milton V. Clark of Pinewood; sister Freda M. Clark of Pinewood; step-children, Chester James Jr., Richard James, Leroy James, John James, Linda Brasel, Joyce Peach, and Robert James; too many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren to count; along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Memorial donations can be made to the Pinewood Church of Christ.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Sept. 13, from 3-7 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home - Hickman County in Centerville. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, with Bill McDonald officiating the services. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens in Centerville.
