The Dickson County High School Cross Country team traveled to the John Freeman Invitational in Bell Buckle on Saturday September 4th. It was an excellent day for the harriers from Dickson. The DC girls team placed second in the team results led by race winner Megan Lampley and medalist Emily Toler. The top 5 scorers were rounded out by Madison Roper, Lizzie Bagsby, and Yulexy Campos.

Dickson Middle hosted Sycamore Middle last week as the Lady Dragons volleyball team defeated Sycamore Middle 2-0 in straight sets. Dickson Middle won by scores of 26-24 and 26-16. The Dickson Middle junior varsity also defeated Sycamore Middle 2-0.

Creek Wood Volleyball had a rough start to the week last week as the Lady Red Hawks fell to Harpeth in four sets. The junior varsity squad did take down Harpeth’s junior varsity, however.

Creek Wood lost on Friday evening to Pearl-Cohn 35-0. Going into the game, Creek Wood had faced two strong opponents in back-to-back weeks in Fairview and Marshall County losing both of those contests. Friday night’s game against Pearl-Cohn would be yet another tall task.

Dickson County traveled to Overton High School on Friday night as the Cougars fell to Overton 21-7. The first quarter came and went as both teams were held scoreless. Overton grabbed the lead in the second quarter with a touchdown to take a 7-0 lead.
