DICKSON – Ravenwood defeated Dickson County 3-1 on Tuesday.

Ravenwood won the first set 25-17, but the Lady Cougars came back to win the second set 26-24. Ravenwood would go on to win the final two sets by scores of 25-22 and 25-8.

“I think they worked very hard,” said Dickson coach Sara Robertson. “Ravenwood is a tough team, and we fought hard for every point. We did some good things and made some good plays against a really good Williamson County team. I am still very proud of them even though we lost.”

The loss brings an end to the season for the Lady Cougars. Robertson was not only proud of the players’ hard work, but she was also proud of the way the team played throughout the season.

“I’m super proud of my girls for this season,” Robertson said. “We had some really great wins this year that we haven’t gotten before like Camden and Page, so we had some really awesome wins. So we still did really well.”

Dickson had three seniors, and Robertson said they would be missed. Maddie Perez, Ellie Nicks and Isabella Wagner were the three seniors.

“Those girls were my first group of freshmen that I had, so I’ve watched those girls grow up,” Robertson said. “I’ve watched those girls mature and become really great teammates, and I’m really going to miss them a lot.”
