DICKSON – Tre’vonn Rybka will be a Kentucky Wildcat next season.
The standout defensive tackle from Dickson County announced his commitment in a tweet and a YouTube video Tuesday afternoon.
Rybka’s commitment to Kentucky is an important addition for head coach Mark Stoops after the Wildcats lost seven senior starters from their 2018 lineup. His presence will help Kentucky rebuild its defense that ranked sixth in the nation last season. The Wildcats only allowed 16.8 points per game.
Both 247Sports and ESPN rank Rybka as a three-star recruit, but Rivals has him listed as a four-star. Rivals currently has Kentucky ranked No. 26 in the 2020 rankings, and Rybka’s commitment should boost that ranking.
He joins Kentucky's 2020 recruiting class that includes one five-star and three four-star players, along with 11 three-star commitments. Rybka had interest and offers from numerous Power 5 schools, including Alabama, LSU, Arizona, Oregon, Arkansas and Tennessee.
