Quarterback Elijah Donaldson (2) and the Creek Wood Red Hawks are 10-1 heading into the second round of the playoffs.

Creek Wood and East Nashville have returned to the Main Street Preps Top 25 football poll after wins in the first round of the TSSAA state playoffs last Friday.

Both teams dropped out of the rankings following Week 11. But Creek Wood kept its season alive with a 35-21 win over Jackson North Side, and East Nashville used four touchdowns from senior Rontavious Gregory to down Fairview 26-13.

There were no changes to the top 10. Oakland kept its stronghold on the No. 1 spot with a 49-0 drubbing of Rossview.

The second round brings two matchups between top-10 teams: No. 9 Pope John Paul II at No. 2 Brentwood Academy and No. 8 Independence at No. 4 Brentwood.

Smyrna, previously No. 21, and Warren County, previously No. 25, fell out of the poll. The Bulldogs (7-4) lost to Franklin in the first round, while the Pioneers (8-3) were knocked out by Mt. Juliet.
