Elijah Donaldson has been named the Player of the Year by the Dickson Post and Main Street Media. The senior compiled 1,100 yards passing and 15 touchdowns through the air while adding another 312 yards on the ground and seven more touchdowns. Defensively, Donaldson was a terror as well with 78 tackles and nine interceptions to go along with a defensive touchdown. Donaldson was also named the Region 5-4A defensive player of the year and named to the TSWA All-State team. Donaldson also found a spot on the TFCA 4-A All-State team for his efforts on offense and defense.
To go along with Donaldson, the Creek Wood Red Hawk Football program has 12 more athletes named to the All-County team. Creek Wood’s Head Coach Houston Thiel has also been named the Coach of the Year in Dickson. Thiel led his team to yet another deep playoff run and hosting its second home playoff game in as many seasons. Thiel led Creek Wood to a 10-2 season attaining the program’s first 10 win season ever.
