The week is starting with the coldest temperatures of the season so far with lows near 20 degrees in some areas.

The wind is going to switch to the south and we are going to warm up into the 50s later in the week. However, there’s a good chance we’re going to have a rainy Thanksgiving.

Rainfall during the first half of November was well below normal, less than half of what would normally fall during the first two weeks of the month, and I expect the remainder of the month will continue to be below normal

Looks like temperatures near 60 will greet us for the first few days of December.

Before you know it, you will be measuring how much snow fell at your place. The National Weather Service recommends a snowboard painted white about 16 inches in diameter and lying flat in the open. Make sure it’s away from trees or obstructions.

If you are measuring on the ground with a yardstick, make sure to take several readings and average them because they can vary.
